Trump Targets Seven More Nations in Tariff Surge Ahead of Final Deadline

by admin477351

US President Donald Trump is escalating his trade campaign with plans to issue new letters to at least seven countries on Wednesday. These letters are part of his administration’s continuing effort to enforce revised trade agreements and increased tariffs.
The announcement comes on the heels of a major move Tuesday, when 14 countries were notified of new levies ranging from 25% to 40%. These tariffs are designed to motivate partners to quickly reach trade deals with the United States.
Trump said via Truth Social that more letters will be distributed in the afternoon. During a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he confirmed that agreements with the UK and China are already in place, and discussions with India are nearing completion.
Despite extending the deadline to August 1, Trump warned that it would not be extended again. “TARIFFS WILL START BEING PAID ON AUGUST 1, 2025,” he stated firmly, making clear that the payment timeline is final.
